I can't say either a male or female is better than the other.
Besides the obvious difference, the Males tend to be 10-15 pounds bigger, and the have a more chiseled look to them.
Where as the females tend to look more smooth around the face and not so "boxey" like the males.
I personally like the males, the bigger the better in my opinion
