I thought the same $40 bucks, wow, i can save the money up when the dysplasia hits, guess what? it hits before they are a year.

get insurance for at least 2 years, it will more then pay for it self if something happens.

I couldn't imagine not getting the surgery for stormy, now i have to pay a lot more then insurance premium.

Wow, that's scary. I was just thinking myself, I'll just put the money aside each month into a savings account but lets be realistic. I'm not very good a doing that. I quess I might go to the vet I'll be using and ask them for some prices on surgery and what their thoughts are on the subject. I've never had insurance on my other pets and have gotten by ok . Man, this is hard because they all have different options and little differences in the plans. Still more research to be done I quess. Thanks
