Congrats on your new puppy! I've just recently brought home my new berner pup, and we've had him (Levi) for 4 weeks now. I can tell you that my pup LOVES any tug toys, and loves to chase balls (though, we're still working on him bringing it back to us...ha ha). Also... nylabones are a MUST! The pet supplies stores have a puppy pack with 3 smaller nylabones, and i'm already having to go purchase more of them, since he's chewed them all up already! As far as brushes go... you may want to keep a toothed comb for dogs on hand, as mine has become very useful for when my pup decides to wander into the weeds and ends up with burs on him. The small toothed comb easily takes the burs out of his fur. I do plan on purchasing a furminator brush for when he does start to shed, since i've heard from many people how great they work, and well worth the price.
