Yes Ollie is very territorial he shows his clear dislike of strangers in the house or anywhere near the house he is also a bit funny with people he doesn't know outside. Others he has got to know since puppyhood he adores.
He has been well socialised but it has made no difference, Berners were bred for watching and guarding the herds as well as pulling carts so I guess some just keep their instincts where others don't seem to worry as much.
He is quite happy if people stop and talk but make no attempt to pet or fuss him and the same in the house once he has shown his displeasure and we have taken him in hand and removed him or got him to find his own space he is happy as long as people ignore him he watches with a beady eye though.
