Old Treat Ideas

First and foremost, I don't buy ANY treats that are not made in the USA. I especially don't trust anything from China.

They have very few ruling bodies watching human food let alone pet foods, and knowing what I know of China factories, those low-cost China made treats could be filled with fillers and meats/proteins that were considered "un-fit for human consumption" so the are used for animals. Also try and stay away from wheat and fillers.

Berners are too prone to Cancer, so I opt for as many organic treats I can afford and find.

My favorites and Finn's favorites are:
- Sam's Yams - they are dehydrated Swee Potatos and are probably too expensive for what they are, but they are 0% fat and my Finnegan loves them. If you own a dehydrator, you could probably make them yourself.
- Solid Gold Tiny Tots - Lamb based...small soft bone-shapped treats small enough to use for baiting and training.
- Zuke's - several types...no wheat, corn or soy in them and each type has different added benefits in them.
- Fresh fruit - Apples, rasberries, blueberries, etc. NO GRAPES OR RASINS (they are toxic to dogs).

Good luck and have fun testing them out!
