We had a similar problem with Ollie, our Berner when he was younger. We have wooden floors throughout the house and if he ran indoors, he ended up skidding all over the place! We were worried he would end up injuring himself.
Ollie's breeder told us about a product called Paw Wax which is made by a company called Shaws (based in Britain). You apply it direct onto your dog's paws and it stops them slipping. It can also be used outdoors when it's icy outside. The company's website is
