I give them the grain free kind because I heard from several people it is the grain that gives some dogs diarreah. However, a couple of times, our local feed store, where I buy the food. (they have a deal, buy 10 bags, get one free) has been out of the grain-free "Now" so I've gone with the "Go" stuff (same manufacturer, just different food) and still had no problems. Guess you have to experiment with your dog.

I feed wellness for large breed puppy. I also buy ground chicken or turkey add brown rice, peas, carrots and sweet potato and feed that as well.
