I thought about leaving them raw, but Iam a little worried about germs and upseting her stomach etc (although the amount of meat on these bones is minimal). She is just a pup. I didnt know that cooked meat can cause issues
...wow live and learn. Do you give raw meat to yours?

Every once in a while... not while he was a small puppy, because he had some stomach sensitivity.... but I find that I will chop a few pieces of our steak off before we season/cook it and chop it up with his dinner... I don't feed him raw all the time because I just don't have the access to a good butcher where I live. I don't give him bones... I know people say it's fine but I just think it's gross
![]() I wouldn't worry too much about germs, if she doesn't go through it in half a day I'd just throw it out... once she is bigger she will have no problems polishing it off quickly. |

First and foremost, I don't buy ANY treats that are not made in the USA. I especially don't trust anything from China.
They have very few ruling bodies watching human food let alone pet foods, and knowing what I know of China factories, those low-cost China made treats could be filled with fillers and meats/proteins that were considered "un-fit for human consumption" so the are used for animals. Also try and stay away from wheat and fillers. Berners are too prone to Cancer, so I opt for as many organic treats I can afford and find. My favorites and Finn's favorites are: - Sam's Yams - they are dehydrated Swee Potatos and are probably too expensive for what they are, but they are 0% fat and my Finnegan loves them. If you own a dehydrator, you could probably make them yourself. - Solid Gold Tiny Tots - Lamb based...small soft bone-shapped treats small enough to use for baiting and training. - Zuke's - several types...no wheat, corn or soy in them and each type has different added benefits in them. - Fresh fruit - Apples, rasberries, blueberries, etc. NO GRAPES OR RASINS (they are toxic to dogs). Good luck and have fun testing them out! Gail and Finn |

Dogs really like peanut butter. You can go to the store and buy one of those Kongs and put peanut butter in it. If you give it to him everyday it will make his coat shinier and his stool softer.
