My wife put a harness for our dog Nova (almost 2 years old) on her Christmas list so we can have Nova pull us for short stints when we CC ski, or just for hiking. We think she'd love to pull us around a little with lots of breaks of course and nothing very long.

I was looking at these two as simple harnesses that weren't hopefully going to break the bank. Any insights from you guys who have harness experience with your Berners or suggestions of other harnesses you and your dogs have liked?

Have you ever heard of Skijor? We also would like to XC Ski with our Bernese and have the same questions about harnesses. This is the x-back harness we are looking at for skiing. I am anxious to hear other responses.
