Hi. I was just wondering if the berners calm down as they get older? We have an almost 7 month old male and he definitely has a lot of energy. We have gone through puppy class and just started the next obedience class. He gets exercise every day and it doesn't seem to make a difference. We just keep hoping that he will calm down as he gets older! Thanks.

Our male calmed down at three and a half. They do say "three years a puppy" when it comes to this breed.

Molly is 2 and a half and still full of it! Around 2 she calmed down a bit- but I also upped my training a bit and started teaching more self control through games. I'm assuming she will still calm down a bit after the age of 3. They're a dog that's known to take a while to mature
