I highly recommend you stick with what you have already done - having someone come in and stay in the home is the optimal pet care for your Berners. Berners are high stress animals and very emotionally sensitive. Boarding can be very scarring on them as a result. Even worse, these sorts of places require harmful and unncessary vaccines that you must also pay for.....and the risk of illness or disease in high stress, confined places is high. For this reason, I have never left my pets anywhere other than home - with someone they know and love to stay here with them. Worse case scenario, you can allow them to go stay with someone they know and love as well. Rachel |
