Is there any way to cool my Berner off while shedding? She's really hot and wont stop panting and drooling all over the place. I wish there was something I could do to cool her off. Also, after she loses her winter coat, will she be more comfortable?

I know i'm going to get yelled at for this, but when it gets hot here I have Storm shaved down. I had to start doing this because he was wet all the time from swimming and got skin infections. He is so much better in the heat when he is shaved.

that is my opinion, but if you don't want to shave cool down with cool water and brush out the fur.

We have never completely shaved Riley , but we have given him quite a hair cut. It seem to make him much more comfortable, and keeps the house cleaner too!
