Old Supplement question

Hi,

I was wondering if any of you give a glucosamine supplement just as a preventative? Or is it better to give nothing until/unless necessary?

Thanks in advance,
Renee

I can only speak for what we do.....but we give Riley omega 3 fish oil pills ( 1000 mg 2 times a day) Riley has an immune disorder,(steroid responsive meningitis) it's in remission now, but when he was a puppy and really sick, the vet suggested the fish oil. It really helped with his joints, noticeably, and in a very short amount of time. Also the food that he is on has glucosamine in it along with a ton of other vitamins and supplements. I would check with your vet first, but personally even if Riley hadnt had any health issues, I would still be giving him the fish oil.
