Hi, we've recently got a new Berner called Daisy - she is 2 and is getting on great with our 7 mth old Berner, Ollie! I've attached some photos of them sharing a chew. It's fantastic having 2 of these beautiful dogs and they are such good friends.

She is beautiful! Those are great pics. You can tell that that get along, they look like best friends
. Did they like each other from the start or did you have to "ease" them into meeting? Either way, Congrats on the new addition ! |

We also have a pair of Berners. They get along famously. Shady was 2 when we got Leo as a pup. She ignored him for the first few days, but then decided he was OK and now is like a mom to him but also doesn't hesitate to put him in his place. Most often, they do everything together like they are joined at the hip. It sounds like your two will be the same! It's so lovely when they can have a companion besides us humans. Especially nice for those times when they must stay home alone.

Thanks, glad you like the photos!
We were lucky that they both took to each other almost straight away. Daisy has a lovely nature and is very patient with Ollie who is still at the hyper stage! She does put him in his place when he needs it though! Sounds like your pair Lucky Liz! Ollie is only 7 months and is already about the same height as Daisy - he is going to be huge! We're delighted to have them both and it is nice for them to have company especially when we're out. |

Is 2 better than 1? ALWAYS! They look like family, very tight... beautiful dogs. This breed is amazing! Can't wait for our Luke to make some berner friends

ollie and daisy are awesome. Daisy is either a small Berner or Ollie is just a beast. I love the little spots on her nose. Kinda unique looking. I love dogs with little things like that which sets them apart. I can't wait for our first Berner "Duffy" to get here. She actually hasn't even been conceived yet and won't be born until November but she already feels like a part of our family. I love these dogs.

Ollie is huge for his age - his Dad was a big boy so he's obviously taken after him! Daisy is the sensible one of the two and has the sweetest nature, very gentle. Even though she's only been with us for 4 months now, she has settled in so well and it feels like she's been here for years.
Ollie is 9 months now and is still into everything! He managed to swallow a stone the other week which got stuck in his small intestine and he had to have major surgery to remove it. Thankfully he was fine and there was no damage, phew! Unfortunately it hasn't put him off picking up stones but hopefully he will grow out of the habit. Look forward to seeing photos of your new Berner when you get her, there's nothing as cute as a Berner pup!! |
