red eyes

My 11 week old Berner has red eyes. Does this mean he has allergies or another hereditary eye problem?

It can be one of many things. Entropion or Ectropion are fairly common in Berners. To be brief, those conditions are the eyelids rolling in or out too much. Your vet will easily be able to tell. Allergies are possible...I don't know much about that though. My Bern gets red eyes when he's stressed/anxious (ie going into Petsmart). If you're concerned, go to the vet. Eyes are too important to guess about.

If I'm not mistaken I believe it happens alot in tbis breed. My gracie had red eyes alot as a pup . Now tnat shes older it comes and goes.
