When we picked our pup up from the breeder (8 weeks) they told us he had Giardia. I believe he was given Flagyl and Panacur for this. The next day we took him to the vet and were told he had Coccidia as well. We talked to the breeder and she found it hard to believe that he had Coccidia because none of her other pups have shown any sign whatsoever. Should I be concerned?

I know this is an old post, but we just picked up our little girl and she too has Coccidia. We mentioned this to our breeder, so she knew. The vet said it wasn't much of a surprise in young puppies. She gave us some Aldon (sp?) and sent us on our way. Since taking the drug, puppy has been a little lethargic, but the vet said that can be a little normal as well, but as long as she is eating and drinking she should be fine. She seemed to slow down on eating and drinking today, so if it continues tomorrow, we are going to run her back to the vet.
