I was just wondering what other people's puppies weighed and how much they eat? We have a 4 month old male, he's 42 pounds, and is eating about 4 cups/day. Is that too much or about right? His father weighs 120 pounds so I know he will be a bigger boy. Thanks. -Beth

Bailey was eating about that much when she was that age and weighed about the same.

She's 5 and a half months now and eating roughly the same amount. It depends on her activity level that day or the night before.

hi,there is another thread on here 'your dogs weight at 6 Months' this may give you something to compare with.

My male was eating four cups a day at that age and weighed about 45 pounds. He's now six months old, weighs 60 pounds and is still on four cups a day. He seems just right, and it sounds like your guy is a good weight too.

Thanks everyone for the advice. It sure helps to hear that other people are about the same as we are with our puppy.
