lol, every new puppy owner seems to mention the biting, nipping, and mouthy.

Storm still mouth's us, we call it nibby's. it is like he is grooming us. when he is anxious or worried he does it.

consistency is the word and loads, and loads of patients.

I have a 14 week old male Berner pup who also is very bad with play biting and nipping. I've tried some different things---they work somewhat but not always! If you fold your arms and turn your back he will usually get bored and stop. I also will spray bitter apple at his mouth--that stops it too but I don't always have the bottle nearby. If I'm near the sink I'll flick water at him--just as effective. Always grab a toy to replace your body parts with---that will distract him.
I find that he is less mouthy when he's had exercise--a walk, a romp in the yard with the kids--he gets tired fast so you don't have to be out there for hours! If my husband is home he will put a leash on him and keep him near---that usually calms him down too.
When all else fails I put him in his crate for a time out. My biggest problem is that he bites at my clothes---when I come home from work he goes nuts and I have to change quick before he can grab at my pants!
I hope some of these tips help you--personally I am counting on him growing out of it.
