Our boy had diarrhea issues at about 4 months. Two nights of getting up with him a few times a night and a few accidents in his kennel later we took him to the vet who tried to tell us he needed hypoallergenic food. He also had a rash on his tummy, puppy pyoderma and he was put on antibiotics, medi-cal royal canin gastro food and flora pills. The diarrhea did go away and his rash also. The vet didn't seem to know of any other good foods except for the medi cal food which is ridiculously expensive and I think unnecessary. We are feeding him a grain free turkey salmon and duck food now with berries and veggies which is even better nutritionally than the vet food. However he had been pooping a lot - sometimes 4 or 5 times a day... Poops are mostly solid although sometimes a bit softer. And he has very stinky gas! We are thinking of switching to Acana - has anyone had any luck with that food?

Riley eats Blue.... He loves it ! It is pricier than some, but you don't have to feed them as much so I think it sort of equals out. We really have never had any food allergies, but I know several people that feed their dog Blue because of allergies..It might be worth checking out..
