It is normal for a dog to have a major shed close to his first birthday. It helps to give him a bath and a good brushing after ( this helps the hair to come out quicker) It is very uncomfortable for your dog so brush him daily until the hair is no longer falling out. |

Are you meaning huge shedding or are you meaning actual hairloss like going bald?
Losing amazing amounts or hair is pretty normal for berners if its all over shed. Most times you could fill a pillowcase a day ![]()

They loose ALOT of hair on a daily basis. More then any person could imagine unless they actually lived with a berner. If they are going through blowing a coat the shedding goes a step further into something even a berner owner can lose their mind about

Hi as a bernese owner and a groomer the best brush i have found is a thing called a coatking..its brilliant for getting rid of all the dead under coat...Saying that there is still enough hair in my house by times to make another dog lol..Another tip is while brushing use a hair dryer on low heat to blast all the loose hair away (best done outside )happy brushing..
