I had posted a couple days ago, but it seems to have disappeared...

Last Wednesday we welcomed Murphy to our family. She is absolutely adorable. The first night with the crate was unbearable, but we have now been able to get her to stay in her crate at night for several hours. We have been getting up in the middle of the night to take her out since she is only 9 weeks.

She has been very mouthy in the last day or two, I am assuming this is just teething, is that a safe assumption? We have tons of bones and toys for her to chew on so we keep giving her those as she tries to chew on us.

I myself just brought home my 8 week old bernese mountain dog. He too had a horrible time in the crate the first night. He really does have a set of lungs on him. I just ignored it as best I could and only let him out when he was quiet. He learned really fast that screaming doesnt get him what he wants but being quiet does.

He loves to use his teeth on me but I just scream (even if it doesnt hurt) and he stops. It's just what the mom or siblings would do if he was to bite them. It's completely normal for them to be bitey at this stage as you are correct she is teething. Just be sure to take her focus onto her toys or chew bones and she will learn

Congrats on your new addition
