We adopted Bear over Thanksgiving. He just turned 2 on 11/17 and is the SWEETEST dog ever! His previous family had had a baby and another small child and the husband worked retail so we was gone a lot and Bear wasn't getting the attention he needed.

We LOVE him already! We drove 8 hours to get home and he did great. He's adjusted very well to our house and is getting used to our cats (he loves them, they are not so sure about him).

Was very glad to find this forum to ask the many questions I'm sure we'll have.

We have two children that are 12 (ds) and 10 (dd) and they had the "best Thanksgiving ever!" thanks to Bear!

Berners are the most adorable dogs ever and are such great family dogs. Sounds like Bear's got a great new home! We have 2 Berners and I can't imagine ever having any other breed as we love them so much.

Welcome to Bernertalk! and Congrats! He is beautiful! As I sure you have already figured out,,,,,they are the BEST dogs ever! Is this your first Berner? I feel horrible for the family that had to give him up. I dint think I could ever let Riley go. But it looks like he has found a great home! He seems to fit right in. And already being spoiled ( i love the collar)

Hopefully we can answer any questions you might have. I am assuming since he is 2 that he is already house broken and gotten a lot of the puppy out of his system. lol

congrats!!!!! you will love him and he will love you. the best thing about berners is the love that they give you, nothing like it.

We just picked up Brewster on the 21st of November, and already he has stolen our hearts. We have never seen such a well natured dog, or a more fun loving dog. So glad we chose the BMD.
