Soon to be new Berner mom

Hi everyone,
So excited to be joining this group. I will be getting my first Berner in mid Feb. I have a English Shepherd now and sadly just lost my Huskey cross just before Christmas. He was 13 and 1 day. All I have heard is how wonderful these dogs are. I would love to do some carting and some therapy work eventually. Katie

Hi and welcome! I am a relatively new owner (since Thanksgiving) to a just turned 2 year old Berner named Bear. BEST dog ever!
Can't wait to see your new pup!

Can't wait to see your new pup! Hi and Thanks, Is that a picture of Bear. Sooooo handsome  I can't wait to get him. I have heard so many good things about this breed. I am thinking I might be crazy to do the whole puppy thing again because I do enjoy my sleep. Ha Ha Since he was born Christmas day we are going to name him Yukon Cornelius. Hope he fits the name. Will post some pictures when we get him.

Congrats!!!! As a new Berner owner and lover of the breed for a long time, nothing compares to actually owning this breed.
Goodluck with all the preparations and homecoming...I remember ours like it was yesterday. We didn't get our Heidi until a bit later (3 mo. old) but the puppy stage was not too bad (for us at least). Im not sure if its a Berner thing or not, but she wasn't a crier, chewer or destructive girl. Hopefully the transition goes well and you enjoy your bundle of puppy fur P.s. love the name & take lots of pictures! All the best

Hi, I'm new here too, we just got a 6 month male Berner, so we understand your anxiousness! We missed most of the puppy stage, so I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of your little teddy bear! Congrats!
