Hi all, I'm so glad I found this forum. This is not my first dog but my first BMD or large breed dog. I have so many questions.
I love my pup Bailey, she's a sweetheart with tons of personality and I can't wait till she's old enough to help me at work. I look forward to sharing stories and pics with everyone. |

Welcome to the site! If you are used to small dogs I am sure this has been an adjustment. lol So what made you decide on a Berner? Riley is our first also. I saw a picture of a bernese and KNEW I had to have him ! We had no idea what we were in for
But wouldn't trade him for the world! You should be able to get lots of information on here. Good luck and we look forward to hearing from you. |

Bailey is 4 1/2 months old.
My dogs have always been lab crosses, not small dogs really, but not large breeds like a berner either. My husband had a Berner before and he insisted on getting another. I wanted a dog that would work with me and be good with clients and after researching Berners I realized that this would be the best dog. Sadie is gorgeous! |

We have had various dogs our last one being a wire haird fox terrior (she was also named Bailey ) We lost Bailey about 6 years ago and my husband pretty much said no more dogs. But time and an introduction to a neighbor's Berner "Banjo" changed his mind. Took us another 3 years before we finally got Sadie, but we are very happy we waited. She's a wonderful little girl and once we get this potty training down she will even be MORE wonderful. LOL... The trials of puppyhood are upon us and sometimes we look at each other and wonder why we wanted a puppy! Still with all her antics (I love to watch her pounce on whatever she's chasing) to amuse us, we are very glad that she's part of our family. You have me beat since your Bailey is 4 1/2 months. What have been some of the challenges you have faced with her (him?). |
