Hi,
I'm Michelle from Minnesota and I wanted to join this site because after a very long wait, we will bring our puppy home in two weeks. We have a five month old Pyrenees right now and my husband's biggest concern is how little space he gets in the bed now. Our kids are grown and we have 4 1/2 grandchildren. Thank you for all of the great information on the site. -Michelle |

I am definitely thinking, after the day I had with the Pyrenees, that this might be a bit crazy! Please tell me the Bernese won't think mud is the best thing in the world to roll in, even if you have to lie! You can visit all you want. I will send pictures as soon as we get him. Supposed to be the 25th. I am so excited. Maybe they can mouth each other instead of me.

You have a Pyr??? I LOVE the Pyr. Generally more "work" than a Berner, my brother in law had a Pyr.
I think you will be pleasantly surprised. Pyrs, though, are among my favourite dogs. Love The Pyr, the Newf, the Leonberger and of course the Bernese. Good luck with the fur eh ![]() Alison |

We had an Australian Shepherd and he was a rescue and very, very sick but he lived 7 years without pain. He just could not eat anything that was for a dog. He was definitely a lot of work but more love and affection than I have ever seen. He was my heart. It took me two years to be able to get another dog. Pyrs are great when they are calm but insane if they get worked up. I know some people that have a lot of problems with them but mine is in the middle. It is very comforting hearing you say Pyrs are more work. I have a feeling two huge dogs will be crazy. I am glad I waited to replace my couch.
