Hi Annette, Congratulations on your new addition. I read your post with your concerns. I have to tell you that our girl, Tori was not the greatest fan of cuddling when we first brought her home at 8 weeks. If I remember corectly she was more interested in playing rough. She later blossomed into a dog that demands attention, but this came after our male Berner came into the picture and then she had competition. Give her time and continue to show her effection. She will come around as she settles in. I wouldnt worry so much about her not wanting to sit on the couch. Try to keep her off the couch this way she will not attempt to jump on or off by herself. At this young age she could hurt her legs or shoulders doing that. Good luck with her and enjoy her, they grow so fast. Susan
