Hi! I have always had little dogs, this is my first
'large'! I am researching Berners and hope you berner owners out there will help me through the puppy stages and what I need to do special for a special Berner Girl named Zellie!! She is now 10 weeks old, has had Cocci and now has Giardia, other than that, all is well. So we are on Panacur suspension for 5 days, I am feeding Flint River kibble plus boiled hamb, turkey, chicken, scrambled eggs with boiled rice a couple of times a day along with mixed kibble and kibble free feed. She does not gobble and eats when she wants and only as much as she needs. Gained 4 lbs in one week and is growing fast! Weighs in at 15.4 lbs at 10 wks. I will love to hear from all you resident Berner owners as to your methods for feeding, training, mouthing, crating etc. Thanks for sending any info....oh, and we are enrolled in puppy kindergarten and future classes...we are going to be Therapy Dog and Companion...unless I fail the course!!
